Who We Are
We are a group of students, teachers, and workers from the Bay Area who are fed up with the budget cuts and attacks on our lives. We began meeting in September to organize and fight back. We have held meetings, rallies and teach-ins, developed organizing packets and tools to educate people about the budget cuts at our schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
We’ve put forth a major effort to organize the March 4, 5PM Civic Center rally in San Francisco to bring together as many people as we could from around the Bay Area – to stand together, to break our isolation and show one another that we are not alone, that others are ready to begin to organize and fight back. Everyone is impacted by these budget cuts, students, teachers, workers, parents, children, grandparents. And only organized together do we have the power and the possibility to stop these attacks and budget cuts. Working people are the majority in California. We do the work that makes the state run. And we need to use our power to defend our interests.
If you want to get active and help organize with us in your school, workplace, or neighborhood get in touch with us. There is a lot of work to be done, and now is the time to do it.
